Spreading the Savvy Love!!

This afternoon has been very productive, it is amazing how much more you can get done without a 2 year old to look after!

I really hope my tagging is going to work on Facebook as there is a whole lot to do

My town tour has taken in to lots of lovely & varied places including

The Brewshed, Beautiful Designs, Posh coffee & cakes, the Museum Street Café, Arlingtons (where I had a lovely cup of tea & very exciting chat about wedding plans!) After the recharge of batteries in Arlingtons it was onto Bowmans, Degeros & the Sanctuary to top up the flyers for The Savvy Wedding show & familiarise myself with the layout.  Next stop Willis then onto Gymophobics which I’d never been in before but will be going again! It is a lovely place with a warm welcome & I can see why it is so popular.  Then back to a much more familiar place, my old workplace AXA where I had a lovely chat with the receptionists & got a few more people hooked on Tropic.

After all that hard work it was time for a wind down and a lovely lambic cherry beer in the Arcade Tavern with hubby before picking up our boy from nursery

A lot of plans made today & I look forward to putting them into action very soon

I will keep you updated!

A busy day & time for blogging!

Well, its been a little while since my last update due to a variety of reasons but I won’t bore you with those.  Instead I will try not to bore you with a review of my day which has been very productive (and a snippet from the last few weeks)

Highlights

Premiere of With Love From Suffolk a fantastic collaboration & my first time on a red carpet with paparazzi!!

Take a look at some of the pics & a trailer from the film at http://www.withlovefromsuffolk.co.uk

If you are in Suffolk keep an eye out at your local cinema to see when it is showing.  It really is worth a watch

I am really enjoying treating myself every night to my Tropic skincare products & have been treating others to A Walk On The Beach (a gorgeous foot spa treatment with Bora Bora sands just one of the many fabulous ingredients)

This is on special offer in the lead up to Valentines Day, just £22 instead of £26 and you can buy if here http://www.tropciskincare.co.uk/shop/katherinecresswell

Aside from this I am looking forward to working with many more local businesses & charities this year and will be seeing a lot of them at The Savvy Wedding Show on 31st March

This is all set to be a top night, all the details can be found on the Facebook event page

Back to today where it really felt that spring had sprung

I managed to cut my little boys hair which is always a challenge and long overdue!

This afternoon whilst he was at nursery (and the first time I hadn’t planned anything to keep my mind of it) I started my spring cleaning…windows cleaned, hovering in all the nooks & crannies done, bathrooms cleaned, washing done & out to dry.  I then headed out to tidy the garden & plant some pretty things!  Then back in to polish my boots, get tea ready & get out in time to pick up my boy from nursery.

I have just sat down and can feel the aches already!  Time for more Tropic pampering to soothe these aches & give my skin a spring clean too.

Having a night away tomorrow night so I know the house will be clean for an extra 24 hours & I won’t be doing my usual last minute dash to clean everything before we set off on our adventure.

Happy spring time everyone & stay Savvy! XxWith Love From SuffolkHappy Feet

What a week!

Despite a germ filled house, horrible traffic jams & tax return to do, this week has been a real highlight!

It is not often I enjoy being housebound but I have got so much done (mostly in my pyjamas whilst my 2 year old plays with his lego or watches CBeebies!)

I have had a great response from my savvy suppliers for the next show I am hosting in March and was excited to pick up the flyers on Wednesday which will be appearing in & around Ipswich very soon.

There may well be some guest bloggers appearing here soon too.

As well as the Savvy show I have also been making plans for another photo shoot & making plans to work with different venues over the coming months.

Whilst all this has been simmering I have also been finalising arrangements for my Savvy Soiree to celebrate with & thank the people who have helped me get where I am today.

I have even managed to balance my books so am all set for the fun of completing my tax return next week!!

Here’s hoping next week will be as fulfilling and successful as this one…I have just treated myself to a pamper session on Thursday so looking forward to that already…hard work deserves a reward right!!

Monday musings

Happy Monday everyone.  I hope you are all keeping well & warm.

Another week has flown by & lots of plans have been put in place.

Some didn’t quite work out but I always believe things are meant to be & there are plenty of other plans on the horizon that could be even bigger & better!

Unfortunately a photo-shoot planned for Sunday was postponed but I am looking forward to getting a few more people involved & working on some more ideas for the rearranged shoot, it might be a bit warmer by then too!!

There have been lots of enquiries coming in for my wedding planning services as well as for Bambino.  It looks like it is going to be another busy year for us.

In the meantime plans for The Savvy Wedding Show are coming together nicely.

I am really looking forward to hosting in the St Nicholas Centre which is right in the centre of Ipswich & a beautiful venue.

If any brides or grooms to be are looking for someone else to take the stress away from planning your perfect day get in touch to see what I can do for you.

There are lots of great suppliers from Suffolk & Essex who will also be on hand to help

Make sure you Save The Date;

31st March 2015, 630pm – 930pm, St Nicholas Centre, Ipswich

The Savvy Wedding Show

Would be great to see you there & chat about your wedding plans.

Have a great week whatever you’re doing & Happy Planning!

6 days into 2016 & so much already achieved!

I am really excited about the year ahead after lots of very productive meetings & phone conferences this year with potential suppliers as well as lots of lovely brides & grooms.

It is great to get caught up in the post Christmas wedding fever with lots of excited brides & grooms to be looking for help with their big day.

Both Bambino & I look to be very busy this coming year.

Tomorrow I will be visiting the venue which will host my next wedding show & am very excited about the possibilites & how it will look on the night with LOVE Letters, uplighting, beautiful flowers.  It will also sound amazing with the Suffolk Soul Singers performing on the night.

Full details will be released soon

Happy planning everyone and if you do need any help get in touch to see what I can do for you

2015…What A Year!!

I don’t really know where to start!

All I know is that I have ended the year on the high, visiting a venue just on the Essex/Suffolk border which I am hoping to work with next year to provide a beautiful location for wedding celebrations.

There have been so many opportunities throughout the year & I have met so many great people along the way & had the privilege of helping with 2 weddings.

They say from little seeds big things grow, and The Savvy family has grown and is so pleased to be working with BeeAppyWeddings & being the only wedding planner in the country to offer Bambino Calessino as unique, quirky, wedding transport & photobooth.

In addition, I now offer bespoke Aisles via Aisle Thee Wed after setting up a beautiful outside ceremony in September I wanted more brides & grooms to have the opportunity to add a little extra to their entrance!

The Savvy Wedding Shows have been successful and also raised over £700 for local charities.  I look forward to organising more of these in 2016 & raising more money.

It was great in November to be part of an event I didn’t have to organise as a Regional finalist in The Wedding Industry Awards.

Sprinkle in a few wedding shows I attended & a few photoshoots & I think its fair to say its been a pretty good year!

Another highlight was featuring twice in our local weekend newspaper supplement.  In 2016, The Savvy Wedding Planner will be appearing in a very prestigious Suffolk magazine in the new year after being approached to write a column and am hoping this will be a regular feature.

I have not forgotten my resolution to blog more and have started early!!

Look forward to updating you on my Savvy exploits & wish you a very Happy & Savvy New Year.

Thank you so much to everyone who has been a part of it, including my over 500 Facebook followers & over 1000 Twitterers!

For anyone who was lucky enough to get engaged over this festive season I would love to hear your engagement stories and help you plan your special day in any way.

Savvy Seasons Greetings from Suffolk

It really has been an exciting first full year in business for me

From scribbling down ideas in my note pad to getting all set with website, business cards & a fab business course to get me going

I have met so many great people who I have worked with already and look forward to working with again.

The brides & grooms I have worked with have verified the choice I made & I am so pleased to have helped them with their special days.  They were a real pleasure to work with & it is such an honour to be part of their special days.

Becoming Regional Finalist in The Wedding Industry Awards & attending the awards ceremony was obviously a highlight of the year.

Another highlight has been teaming up with BeeAppyWeddings to give brides & grooms the quirkiest wedding transport in Suffolk!  I had the privilege of the inaugural ride in Bambino taking in the sights of Ipswich & Bambino has been busy in some of Suffolks finest wedding venues

It seems like the year has flown by but I have crammed a lot in!

I still need to make more time for blogging in 2016 & will hopefully manage one before the end of 2015 & name check some more of the people & places which were part of my journey this year.

In the meantime its off to the shops for a few more bits for Christmas!

I hope you all have a wonderful time whatever you are doing Xx

Brides, bambinos, birthdays & now some more blogging…

Is it too early to think about New Year Resolutions?  One of mine is to make more time to blog.

It has been a busy time with photoshoots, bambino bookings, bride enquiries & a birthday boy!

You can see the photos on Bambinos Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/Bambino-Calessino-520518724773571/?ref=hl

I am really looking forward to the 4 weddings I have booked so far for next year & some other exciting projects in the pipeline including more photoshoots & more Savvy Wedding Shows

If anyone wants more information about getting involved in any of the photoshoots or weddings shows in Suffolk get in touch, savvyweddingplanner@outlook.com
